4. Participate in the work and events of Malama Maha`ulepu. Join the steering committee of Malama Maha`ulepu.
The greatest asset of Malama Maha`ulepu is our growing group of dedicated volunteers who share a common love for Maha`ulepu. Help is always needed for the menu of long-term projects, immediate activities and events. All talents and interests are welcomed. Participation brings the rewards of continual learning about Maha`ulepu and of knowing that you contribute to plans and actions for preservation of this place.
Everyone is welcome to join the volunteer steering committee, which meets every other week on Wednesdays in Koloa at 4 PM. For specific dates, watch the Garden Island newspaper's Community Calendar or call Beryl Blaich, coordinator, at 808-828-1438 or email blaich@aloha.net.
Malama Maha`ulepu also welcomes help at stewardship events such as clean-ups, Reef Check and at community events such as Koloa Plantation Days.
